Term: Attachment
An email attachment is a file that is electronically attached to an email.
For example, you may want to send the recipient a copy of a Word document, a spreadsheet, a PDF file. While it is common to want to send someone a file, in many cases organizations have problems sending file attachments for various reasons, such as the file is too large or the file is of a type that is blocked for security reasons.
We have worked with organizations having issues with sending and receive files by providing an industrial strength email service where we can allow larger file attachments. We have also developed applications that allow large files to be uploaded without being subject to the traditional 4MB limitation within web browsers.
