DSL means Digital Subscriber Line - A service run through telephone lines that provides Internet access that is faster than what is available through a dial up connection.
A DSL Modem is a piece of equipment that receives the incoming DSL line and provides plug receptacles to connect to one or more computers (USB or Ethernet).
